Trolan Norwegian Elkhounds (established in 1969) has focused on showing and breeding sound Norwegian Elkhounds that are correct to the breed standard in both body and mind.   Every animal in the breeding program has been cleared of hereditary problems that plague the breed. Special attention is given to assure that every litter benefits the best from their Viking ancestors.
